Beware of scams! Do not provide bank, credit card, investment, insurance and MPF account or other key personal information via hyperlinks embedded in suspicious messages purported to be coming from our institution!

SoFi Hong Kong will not send any instant electronic messages (e.g. SMS, WhatsApp, WeChat, etc) to members with embedded hyperlinks to acquire bank, credit card, investment, insurance and MPF account or other key personal information online, unless arising from requests by the members.

3 key tips for anti-scam:

1. Guarding against online fraud: Be vigilant against suspicious phone calls, emails, or text messages, and do not share personal information rashly. Do not open suspicious links or attachments.

2. Only install mobile apps from reliable sources, pay attention to permission requests, and keep your system updated. Regularly check your SoFi Hong Kong account, promptly update passwords and enable two-factor authentication.

3. On social media and instant messaging platforms, be wary of so-called “expert”, “exclusive information”  or “insider news” recommendations for investment opportunities, which are likely to be false information or market manipulation. Be aware to conduct independent investment analysis and risk assessment.Do not blindly trust others’ investment advice.
