Service arrangements during Typhoon Signal Number 8 or Above, Black Rainstorm Warning or Extreme Conditions (“Severe Weather Trading or SWT”)

To support the implementation of severe weather trading starting from September 23, 2024, SoFi will maintain the following services on the SWT days:

• Dealing, clearing and settlement services of listed securities and derivatives products for Hong Kong and U.S.markets;
• Dealing, clearing and settlement of Hong Kong’s IPO;
• Electronic deposit, withdrawal, and currency exchange of client’s funds (excluding cheque deposit or withdrawal);
• Deposit, withdrawal, and transfer of client’s securities (excluding physical scripts of stocks);
• Corporate actions and nominee services for Hong Kong and U.S. markets, subject to the arrangement of SoFi Hong Kong’s custodian (e.g. HKEx);
• Online change of client’s particulars;
• Account opening services;
• SoFi Hong Kong APP trading service; and
• Customer service hotline will operate as usual

Note: 

1. SoFi Hong Kong offices will not be open to the public on the SWT days.
2. Members are encouraged to transfer funds to SoFi electronically on the SWT days. Please evaluate whether adjustments to your bank’s electronic fund transfer limits are necessary to allow greater flexibility in support of your need. Members can also set up eDDA and make a deposit in just seconds. We currently support HSBC, BOC, Hang Seng Bank, Standard Chartered and ZA Bank. We will be expanding to support more banks in the future.
3. Members should arrange funds to settle any outstanding purchase transactions and/or margin call on the SWT days (“Settlement Obligation”). SoFi Hong Kong reserves the rights to perform any forced liquidation to your account portfolio when you fail to meet your Settlement Obligation.
4. SoFi Hong Kong will not support  cheque deposit or withdrawal service on the SWT day.
5. SoFi Hong Kong will provide limited services to account maintenance service on the SWT day. If you have any urgent request for this service, please contact our customer service hotline for urgent assistance.
6. The above-mentioned services will be affected by the feasibility and arrangements of SoFi Hong Kong service providers.
7. If clients require any assistance to any other SoFi Hong Kong services, please contact us via email or customer service hotline.
