How to Open a SoFi Hong Kong Account in 5 Steps

With SoFi Hong Kong, you can trade over 15,000 US and Hong Kong stocks for free all in one app. Creating an account is simple and easy. Just follow the 5 steps below.

Step 1: Get the app

Search “SoFi Hong Kong”, scan the QR code below or simply click here to download the latest iOS and Android version available. Completing the application in the app takes no longer than 5 minutes.

Step 2: Get the following documents ready

They will come in handy as you’ll need to upload them as part of the application. Before you start the process, have them by your side:

• HKID / Passport
• Proof of residential address (Within the last 3 months)
• Proof of Bank account

Step 3: Fill in all the necessary information

• Click [Create an Account], and sign up with your email or with your Facebook/Google account (If you are registering with your Facebook/Google account, please make sure you are able to log into your email linked with this account to receive important information such as verification codes and statements)

• Visit your mailbox and verify your email, you will be directed back to the app.

• In the app, fill in all the necessary information and upload the documents required. Your information is secured. We gather personal information for account opening process and Know your client (KYC) required by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).

Step 4: Open your account with an e-signature

Literally sign your signature in the app. It’s the easiest way to submit your application. As required by SFC regulation, you must have a Hong Kong bank account and make a minimum deposit of HK$10,000 from the bank account you have registered.

Step 5: Your application has been submitted!

You will receive an email to confirm that we have received your application submission. Please give us some time to review your documents and we’ll be in touch as soon as your account has been activated.
